Student Employment

Student employment provides valuable opportunities for students to gain practical work experience, develop essential skills, and support their educational journey financially. Whether through on-campus jobs, internships, or part-time positions, student employment helps bridge the gap between academic learning and real-world application. These roles not only foster time management and responsibility but also contribute to a more engaged and well-rounded college experience.

Federal Work Study and Campus Employment

  • All student participating in the Student Employment Program must complete a valid. FAFSA.
  • The standard, first year award is $2,500/year.
  • The first year pay rate is $8.25/hr. The mailroom and 91探花 service positions start at $9.05.
  • Students work up to 12 hours per week based on the needs of the department.
  • Student Employment is defined as financial aid - your earnings are considered part of your overall financial aid package.
  • Student employees are subject to tax laws and other employment regulations.
  • The Student Employment award on your financial aid package is an estimate of what you can earn during the academic year. Your actual earnings are based on the hours that you work.
  • Paychecks are issued bi-weekly (earnings do not credit to a student's account/balance due).
  • Federal Student Employment is limited to students who demonstrate financial need on the FAFSA
  • If you were not awarded student employment, you can check with the Financial Aid Office for eligibility. You may be added to a waitlist.
